Job summary

BioMADE in Hayward, CA seeks a Senior Analytical Chemist to lead analytical method development, transfer, and data practices within the Hayward pilot plant operations. This role will drive fit-for-purpose strategies, establish sample handling workflows, and deliver high-quality analytical support for client campaigns.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in analytical chemistry with 10+ years of industry experience.
• PhD in analytical chemistry with 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Experience in analytical method development, validation and transfer.
• Background in industrial biotechnology or pilot scale environment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of safety, chemical hygiene and waste handling.

Responsibilities

• Develop, qualify, optimize, and transfer analytical methods for client technologies.
• Oversee calibration, maintenance and performance of analytical instrumentation.
• Establish data handling, traceability and reporting practices for campaigns.
• Collaborate with operations, projects, and client teams to align plans and deliverables.
• Lead cross-training and provide hands-on support in adjacent lab functions.
• Promote BioMADE’s safety culture and contribute to continuous improvement.
