Job description

Senior Analyst, Supply Planning & Procurement

Join to apply for the Senior Analyst, Supply Planning & Procurement role at Glenmark Pharmaceuticals.

FLSA - Exempt
Hours - 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in office 3 days per week

This role involves managing external CMO relationships for in-licensing products, new launches, and ongoing supplies. It also includes overseeing contract services such as product development, tech transfer, and supply as per production plans and commitments.

Note: This list is not exhaustive of all responsibilities and duties.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Review production plans and coordinate with demand and supply planning teams.
  2. Distribute plans to CMOs and ensure execution as required.
  3. Create and circulate purchase orders for production planning.
  4. Support monthly sales closing by ensuring delivery of committed products.
  5. Coordinate logistics for finished goods from CMO to warehouse.
  6. Proactively mitigate supply risks and seek alternative vendors for key SKUs.
  7. Analyze cost sheets, negotiate rates, and identify cost savings opportunities.
  8. Facilitate product evaluation, approval, and compliance with QA and R&D.
  9. Manage supplier payments and resolve invoicing or taxation issues.
  10. Maintain and renew business agreements, liaising with legal teams.
  11. Coordinate quality and compliance queries with internal/external stakeholders.
  12. Oversee dispatch, product release, and documentation for finished goods.
  13. Manage artwork, product specifications, and product improvements.
  14. Raise change controls, create vendor and product codes, and update vendor records in SAP.
  15. Coordinate audits, market complaints, and investigations with vendors and QA teams.
  16. Ensure production plans are feasible and track raw material deliveries.
  17. Manage inventory, including stock verification and slow-moving materials.
  18. Coordinate dispatch, logistics, and documentation for finished goods.
  19. Act as a control tower for inventory management and control.
  20. Address issues between CMO and internal teams and facilitate artwork and product specifications updates.
  21. Collect data for MIS and generate reports on inventory, yield, and purchase dashboards.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy (B. Pharma/M. Pharma), MBA in Operations/SCM from Tier I or II institutes.
Experience:
  • 10+ years in procurement and supply chain management, with leadership experience in sourcing, cost optimization, and supplier relations.
Physical Demands:
  • Primarily office work; may require handling physical materials and occasional lifting up to 20 pounds.
