Job description

Under guidance from the Manager, Supply Chain Optimization and Design, this role will be responsible for leading CHEP supply chain network optimization projects, analyzing the output, and recommending changes to reduce the approximately $1.6B direct cost spend for North America. The role involves coordinating the gathering of accurate information, conducting analysis using the Llamasoft Supply Chain Guru software, reviewing outputs, and working with relevant teams to determine achievable supply chain improvements. Additionally, the role will collaborate with Planning and Operations teams to identify and implement flow optimization opportunities.

Major / Key Accountabilities

• Lead supply chain optimization projects using LLamasoft Supply Chain Guru software.
• Gather feedback and identify supply chain opportunities from partner teams across transportation, real estate, operations, and planning.
• Analyze 'what-if' scenarios to evaluate costs and benefits of potential changes.
• Present findings to senior management and secure buy-in for recommendations.
• Assess new customer portfolios and TPM partnership impacts on supply chain costs.
• Analyze modeled lanes versus historical lanes to identify and lead cross-functional flow optimization initiatives.
• Propose opportunities for cost reduction through accurate modeling and network optimization.
• Develop and implement plans to realize supply chain savings in coordination with local teams.
• Create methodologies to track savings from network changes.
• Maintain relationships with key supply chain contacts.
• Develop expertise in Supply Chain Guru and lead cost analysis efforts.
• Support modeling needs across various business groups and functions.
• Enhance model performance and functionality for step-change improvements.
• Develop reports and conduct meetings to share insights with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• BS, BA, or equivalent with 2 years of experience in supply chain or related fields.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in supply chains.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience with data analysis and handling large datasets.

Skills and Knowledge

• Strong analytical skills, including proficiency with databases.
• Solid understanding of supply chain theory.
• Ability to collaborate across cultures and communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
• Decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple goals and work independently.
• Strong presentation and collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of Llamasoft Supply Chain Guru software is a plus.
• Knowledge of CHEP North American Supply Chain is highly desirable.

Preferred Education and Experience

• 3-5 years of relevant work experience preferred.
