Job Description

Position Purpose

Under guidance from the Manager, Supply Chain Optimization, this role will be responsible for leading CHEP supply chain network optimization projects, analyzing the output, and recommending changes to reduce the roughly $1.6B direct cost spend for North America. The role involves coordinating the gathering of accurate information, conducting analysis using the Llamasoft supply chain model, reviewing outputs, and working with relevant teams to determine achievable supply chain improvements. Collaboration with Planning and Operations teams to identify and implement flow optimization opportunities is also key.

Major / Key Accountabilities

1. Lead supply chain optimization projects using LLamasoft Supply Chain Guru software.
2. Gather feedback and leads on supply chain opportunities from partner teams in transportation, real estate, operations, and planning.
3. Analyze “what-if” scenarios to evaluate costs and benefits of proposed changes.
4. Present findings to senior management and secure buy-in for recommendations.
5. Evaluate new customer portfolios and TPM partnership opportunities for their impact on supply chain costs.
6. Analyze modeled lanes versus historical lanes to identify and lead cross-functional teams in implementing flow optimizations.
7. Recommend opportunities for cost reduction through accurate modeling and network optimization.
8. Develop and implement plans to achieve supply chain savings in coordination with local teams.
9. Create methodologies to track savings from network changes.
10. Maintain relationships with key supply chain contacts.
11. Develop expertise in Supply Chain Guru software and lead cost analyses for potential network modifications.
12. Support modeling needs across other business groups and internal functions.
13. Enhance model performance and functionality for step-change improvements.
14. Develop reports and share insights with internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• BS, BA, or equivalent with 2+ years in supply chain or related business field.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in supply chain management.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience with data analysis and manipulation of large data sets.

Skills and Knowledge

• Strong analytical skills, proficiency with databases.
