Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Analytics, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field; required.
• 5+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 3+ years with a master’s degree in financial analysis, healthcare finance, pharmacy finance, revenue integrity, FP&A, or related field; required.
• Experience interpreting financial statements and performing budget-to-actual, forecast, variance, margin, rate, volume, and mix analysis; required.
• Experience developing financial models, forecasts, scenario analyses, and executive-level financial reporting; required.
• Advanced experience using Microsoft Excel to perform financial analysis, including PivotTables, lookups, complex formulas, data validation, reconciliation, and financial modeling; required.
• Experience communicating complex financial findings and recommendations to operational and executive audiences; required.
• Experience with pharmacy, specialty pharmacy, health system pharmacy, pharmacy benefit management, healthcare reimbursement, or pharmacy claims; strongly preferred.
• Experience with BI tools such as QlikView, Qlik Sense, Power BI, Tableau, SAS, or other platforms; preferred.
• Experience with SQL, Python, R, or other data analysis tools; preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation of financial analyses and performance materials used in health system pharmacy business reviews; identify drivers, risks, opportunities, and recommended actions.
• Analyze actual financial and operational performance against budgets, forecasts, and benchmarks to explain variances and inform corrective action.
• Explain drivers affecting prescription volume, revenue, reimbursement, acquisition cost, COGS, gross margin, Opex, and net operating income.
• Independently identify emerging financial risks and opportunities; elevate significant risks and data limitations.
• Develop analytical approaches and conduct analyses by drug, payer, clinic, market, disease state, claim, and therapy levels.
• Analyze reimbursement and negative-margin claims to identify opportunities to improve margin and reduce losses.
• Evaluate purchasing, inventory, replenishment, inflation, price, volume, and therapy-mix impacts on performance.
• Quantify financial impact of contracting decisions, payer access, 340B activity, rebates, and revenue integrity initiatives.
• Develop forecasts, budget models, scenario analyses, variance bridges, and ROI models for annual budgeting and long-range planning.
• Influence strategic decisions by translating modeling into clear alternatives and recommendations.
• Prepare executive-ready analyses and data stories describing causes, impact, and required actions.
• Provide financial guidance to stakeholders and validate conclusions to align with business needs.
• Use Excel, QlikView, Qlik Sense, Power BI, SQL, and other tools to build models, dashboards, and recurring reports.
• Own validation and reconciliation of analyses to source systems and financial statements.
• Other duties as assigned.
