MPI is seeking an Investment & Asset Management Analyst to evaluate opportunities, model investments, monitor performance, and support development initiatives across a diverse portfolio.

Reporting to senior leadership, you will lead due diligence, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and contribute to budgeting and investor reporting in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 2-4 years CRE experience.
  • Strong Excel modeling skills with ability to build and modify complex models.
  • Experience underwriting acquisitions, developments, and asset management.
  • Knowledge of NOI, DSCR, LTV, cap rates, and budgeting.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain advanced financial models for acquisitions, developments, joint ventures, and assets.
  • Analyze property and portfolio performance including NOI, occupancy, and debt service coverage.
  • Prepare investment memorandums, hold/sell analyses, and executive reports.
  • Lead due diligence for acquisitions, dispositions, and financings.
  • Collaborate with property managers, leasing teams, legal counsel, and lenders to maximize value.

The Investment Analyst supports the evaluation, execution, and management of commercial real estate investments and development projects, with responsibilities spanning underwriting, financial modeling, due diligence, asset management, and transaction coordination.

Description

Reporting to senior investment and asset management leadership, the Investment & Asset Management Analyst will play a critical role in evaluating investment opportunities, monitoring asset performance, and supporting development initiatives across the portfolio.

  • Develop and maintain advanced financial models to underwrite acquisitions, developments, joint ventures, and existing assets.
  • Analyze property and portfolio performance, including net operating income (NOI), occupancy, leasing activity, debt service coverage ratios (DSCR), loan-to-value ratios (LTV), capital expenditures, and budget variances.
  • Prepare hold/sell analyses, valuations, investment memorandums, strategic recommendations, and executive reporting packages.
  • Conduct market, demographic, and economic research to support investment decisions and business development opportunities.
  • Lead and coordinate due diligence activities for acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and development projects.
  • Collaborate with third-party property managers, leasing teams, legal counsel, consultants, architects, contractors, and internal stakeholders to maximize asset value and ensure successful project execution.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, investor reporting, construction management activities, and special projects across the portfolio
Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
  • 2-4 years of experience in commercial real estate investments, development, asset management, acquisitions, or financial analysis.
  • Advanced Excel modeling skills with the ability to build and modify complex financial models.
  • Argus experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of commercial real estate valuation, underwriting, budgeting, and investment analysis.
  • Experience reviewing leases, operating statements, development budgets, and due diligence materials.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, ownership mentality, and collaborative approach to problem-solving.
