Job summary

Toyota is seeking a Senior Analyst in Plano, TX to deliver traditional FP&A support to the Information Technology department. You will lead budgeting, forecast analysis, and decision support for technology investments, partnering with IT leaders to translate priorities into financial insights.

The role reports to a Manager – Financial Analysis within OneTech, with responsibilities spanning month-end close, reporting, and strategic scenario analyses to improve cost visibility and forecast

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or another relevant analytical discipline
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, or related areas with progressively increasing responsibilities
• Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills with ability to identify process gaps and resolve complex issues
• Experience communicating across all levels of an organization including senior leadership
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel with data manipulation on large datasets
• Aptitude and desire to learn and apply emerging technologies, tools, and automation capabilities

Responsibilities

• Lead and support annual budgeting, periodic forecasting, and long-range planning for assigned IT cost centers.
• Develop and maintain financial forecasts for key IT cost drivers (outside labor, software, cloud services, infrastructure, professional services).
• Analyze actual performance vs budget/forecast; identify variance drivers, risks, opportunities.
• Partner with IT leaders to translate priorities into financial impacts and actionable insights.
• Support month-end close activities and monthly management reporting including variance analysis.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting and outlook updates for IT and Finance leadership.
• Provide financial decision support for technology investments, projects, vendor commitments, and resource allocation.
• Support business case development and cost-benefit analyses to evaluate investments.
• Monitor operating expenses and capital spending to improve cost visibility and forecast accuracy.
• Identify financial risks and cost optimization actions across the IT portfolio.
• Develop reports and dashboards translating financial/operational information into clear recommendations.

Who we’re looking for

Toyota’s Business Unit Finance Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Senior Analyst.

The primary responsibility of this role is to provide traditional FP&A support to Information Technology department, including quarterly forecast support, monthly actuals v forecast analysis, business case decision support, and other finance related activities.

Reporting to a Manager – Financial Analysis in the Business Unit Finance – OneTech team, the person in this role will support the department's objective to provide customers with best-in-class finance support helping drive better decision making with a finance view.

What you’ll be doing

• Lead and support annual budgeting, periodic forecasting, and long-range planning for assigned OneTech portfolio and cost center.
• Develop and maintain financial forecasts for key IT cost drivers, including outside labor, software, cloud services, infrastructure, and professional services.
• Analyze actual financial performance against budget, forecast, and prior year; identify key variance drivers, risks, and opportunities.
• Partner with IT leaders to translate business priorities and resource plans into financial impacts and actionable insights.
• Support month-end close activities (including booking of journal entries) and prepare monthly management reporting, including financial results, variance analysis, key business drivers, risks, and opportunities.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting and outlook updates for IT and Finance leadership.
• Provide financial decision support for technology investments, projects, vendor commitments, and resource allocation decisions.
• Support business case development, scenario analyses, and cost-benefit assessments to evaluate strategic alternatives and investment trade-offs.
• Monitor core and project operating expense, capital spending, and other key financial drivers to improve cost visibility and forecast accuracy.
• Identify financial risks, savings opportunities, and cost optimization actions across the IT portfolio and recommend appropriate actions to leadership.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and executive-level analyses that translate complex financial and operational information into clear recommendations for decision-making.

What you bring

• Prior experience communication across all levels of an organization including senior leadership
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, financial analysis, and data manipulation with large data sets
• Demonstrated aptitude and desire to learn and apply emerging technologies, tools, and automation capabilities

Added bonus if you have

• Demonstrated experience in data analysis, management reporting, cost-benefit analysis and data mining
• Hands-on experience with Power BI, Power Automate, and/or similar reporting or analytics tools
• Knowledge of AI capabilities and/or previous experience implementing AI within the business
• Experience working effectively in a cross-functional environment with multiple stakeholders and business partners
