Job summary

L’Oréal USA in Monmouth Junction, NJ seeks a Sr Analyst - EHS to lead and coordinate environmental health and safety programs at the site, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations while promoting a safe work environment.

You will partner with warehouse managers, conduct trainings, review incident investigations, maintain LEAP data, and drive continuous improvement through audits, MESURs, and SHAPs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience supporting an Environmental Health & Safety department required.
• Intermediate computer skills (MS Office including Excel and Word) are essential.
• Travel: Some travel is required to attend meetings or visit other sites, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Coach and assist warehouse Managers and Supervisors in the development and implementation of effective EHS programs.
• Coordinate Monthly PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) driver huddles.
• Review all accident/incident and near-miss investigations for accuracy, including root-cause identification and corrective actions.
• Complete metrics reports for monthly, quarterly, and annual EHS reports (e.g., training hours, SIOs, MESURs, transportable waste).
• Coordinate and support the Site's Safety Committee.
• Coordinate and conduct MESURs, SHAPs, and Ergonomic Assessments.
• Assist the site in identifying loss exposures, evaluating risks, developing corrective/preventative actions, and auditing plans for effectiveness.
• Support the facilities department to ensure contractor personnel comply with policies and safety requirements.
• Support warehouse operations in SOP maintenance and updates for all safe work practices and day-to-day training.
• Provide advice and audits to line management to ensure EHS procedures are implemented and functioning.

What You Will Do

• Coach and assist warehouse Managers and Supervisors in the development and implementation of effective EHS programs.
• Coordinate Monthly PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) driver huddles.
• Review all accident/incident and near-miss investigations for accuracy, including a description of the incident, root cause identification, and thorough corrective actions. Ensure all reports are submitted into the L'Oréal EHS Application Portal (LEAP).
• Complete metrics reports for monthly, quarterly, and annual EHS reports (e.g., training hours, SIOs, MESURs, transportable waste).
• Coordinate and support the Site's Safety Committee.
• Coordinate and conduct MESURs, SHAPs, and Ergonomic Assessments.
• Assist the site in identifying loss exposures, evaluating associated risks, developing and implementing corrective/preventative action plans, and auditing plans for effectiveness.
• Support the facilities department to ensure contractor personnel working on the property comply with L'Oréal policies and safety requirements.
• Support warehouse operations in SOP maintenance and updates for all safe work practices and day-to-day training.
• Provide advice, assistance, and audits to line management to ensure effective EHS procedures are implemented and functioning.
• Conduct or coordinate EHS training as required and develop training materials as necessary.
• Coordinate inspections by outside agencies and/or internal groups, documenting and tracking the correction of all potential deficiencies.
• Maintain all logs and documentation associated with permits and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain filing systems regarding worker training and safety.
• Manage the reporting of site waste, ensuring compliance with all requirements.
• Prepare environmental submissions and/or reports as required.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Develop and maintain waste minimization activities for the facility.
• Successfully interact with employees at all levels.

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Willingness to obtain additional training, including but not limited to ISO 45001 Lead Auditor, Safety Management Certification (ASP/CSP)
• Experience with ISO 45001 preferred
• Excellent organizational skills

• Well-developed communication skills (verbal and written), with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deal effectively with all levels of employees and management
