Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior financial professional to support REIT investment, asset management, financial planning, capital markets, and investor relations through advanced financial analysis and underwriting. You will own and maintain the financial model in close partnership with senior leadership.

The role requires 4–7+ years in CRE or related fields, strong modeling, and proficiency with NOI/FFO metrics.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, real estate, economics, business, or a related field.
  • MBA, master’s degree, or CFA preferred.
  • 4-7+ years of relevant CRE, REIT, investment banking, private equity, asset management, or corporate finance experience.
  • Advanced financial modeling skills required.
  • Strong knowledge of real estate valuation, leasing economics, debt structures, and investment metrics.
  • Experience with REIT reporting metrics such as NOI, FFO, AFFO, NAV, leverage, and dividend coverage preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Perform accretion and dilution analysis on prospective transactions and capital raises, and assess the impact on FFO, AFFO, and the balance sheet
  • Translate portfolio performance into the metrics and narrative that matter to investors, analysts, and lenders
  • Prepare reporting packages that position portfolio results consistently across leadership, investor, lender, and board audiences
  • Support corporate development pipeline by screening opportunities, assessing strategic fit, and analyzing market entry and exit considerations

Requirements

  • 4-7+ years of relevant experience in commercial real estate, REITs, investment banking, private equity, asset management, corporate finance, or real estate consulting
  • Advanced financial modeling skills required
  • Strong knowledge of commercial real estate valuation, leasing economics, debt structures, and investment metrics
  • Experience with REIT reporting metrics such as NOI, same-store NOI, FFO, AFFO, NAV, leverage, and dividend coverage preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required
  • Experience with Argus Enterprise, Yardi, MRI, VTS, Power BI, Tableau, or similar real estate/accounting/reporting platforms preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments
