Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Real Estate Analyst to support acquisitions and asset management across diverse markets. You will conduct financial analysis using Argus and Excel, build discounted cash flow models, and participate in partnership waterfall structures.

The role requires 3–5 years of CRE experience, strong communication, and travel willingness to cover markets nationally while coordinating due diligence with legal counsel, lenders, and consultants.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of commercial real estate experience.
  • Proficient in Argus and Excel.
  • Experience with discounted cash flow modeling and waterfall structures.
  • Strong communication, adaptable to multiple audiences.
  • Experience in financial services or investment management.
  • Willingness to travel nationally.
  • Background check required.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct financial analysis for acquisitions using Argus and Excel.
  • Coordinate due diligence with legal counsel, third-party consultants, investment brokers, and lenders.
  • Compile market research for acquisition assumptions, including lease and sales comparables, development pipeline, and other market data.
  • Support and lead asset management initiatives, including lease negotiations, capital plans, property financings, development asset draw schedules, and hold/sell analysis.
  • Interface with leasing brokers, property managers, and joint venture partners to create and enact asset-level business plans.
  • Manage quarterly valuations of existing assets via third-party appraisals.
  • Prepare internal investment memos for acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and refinancing.
  • Provide oversight and support for junior team members.
  • Perform additional duties as required by the Real Estate team.

Job description

  • Coordinate due diligence with legal counsel, third-party consultants, investment brokers, and lenders

  • Support and lead asset management initiatives, including lease negotiations, capital plans, property financings, development asset draw schedules, and hold/sell analysis

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Finance, Real Estate, or a related field

  • Strong proficiency in Argus and Excel
  • Experience with discounted cash flow modeling and waterfall structures
  • Desire to work across real estate disciplines and learn all asset classes
  • Experience within the financial services or investment management industry
  • Intellectual curiosity and ability to stay current with technological developments
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Desire to travel and cover markets nationally
  • Preferred: prior financial services industry experience, specifically in real estate
  • Preferred: knowledge of SEC regulatory requirements and related technology
  • Background check required
