Position — Sr. Analyst, Assortment Planning

Location — Atlanta, GA (Hybrid: On-site Monday–Thursday, Remote on Friday)
NAPA Auto Parts is a leading U.S. automotive aftermarket distributor and wholly owned subsidiary of Genuine Parts Company (NYSE: GPC), a $23.5B global distribution leader. With 20,000+ employees, NAPA distributes more than 800,000 automotive replacement parts, accessories, and service items to retail and commercial customers nationwide. As GPC prepares to separate its Automotive and Industrial businesses into independent public companies by 2027, NAPA will become the standalone Automotive platform—creating greater focus, agility, and investment to accelerate growth and innovation across the automotive aftermarket.
Assortment Planning is a newer function at NAPA, built from the ground up over the past year, and the company is in the midst of a broader transformation with renewed executive focus on better leveraging its independent owner network and inventory. This role gives a Sr. Analyst the rare chance to help build processes, tools, and analytics from scratch rather than execute an established playbook, with direct visibility to Category Management and Assortment Planning leadership as the team scales.
A sharp analytical thinker with 2+ years turning large, messy data sets into a clear story and a recommendation, not just a report. Retail or merchandising exposure is a plus, though not required. Equally important: collaborative, comfortable with ambiguity, and energized by building new processes and tools rather than following an existing playbook.
This newly built team works well together and genuinely enjoys one another: smart, collaborative, and easy to get along with rather than cutthroat. Assortment Planning sits alongside Category Management inside an organization investing heavily in modernizing its merchandising capabilities, offering high visibility and the chance to shape process and tools from the ground up rather than inherit a rigid playbook. The team is in the office together Monday through Thursday, with a hybrid work-from-home Friday.
NAPA offers a competitive compensation package and comprehensive benefits.
