Job description

Napa Home & Garden is a wholesale home décor brand headquartered in Norcross, GA, and one in a family of highly regarded brands under C&F Enterprises. We design and source seasonal collections — furniture, décor, botanicals, and lifestyle accessories — for style-conscious independent retailers, designers, and specialty stores across North America.

Job Purpose:

Napa Home & Garden is looking for an Assistant Product Manager who wants more than a foot in the door; someone who wants a real seat at the table while learning the full arc of merchandising, from trend to assortment to P&L. This is the first step on Napa's merchandising career path, built for someone who's analytical, design-curious, and ready to grow into a future Product Manager.

What You'll Own
  • Assortment & product execution. Maintain assortment line lists, product setup, and SKU data across 2–3 seasons at once; support development from concept through launch, tracking milestones, samples, and vendor communication.
  • Brand & Market audits. Support competitive audits, contribute to collection naming and feature storytelling for new product launches.
  • Analytics that drive decisions. Build weekly and monthly reporting on sales, margin, and inventory health, and flag trends before they become problems — using Excel, Power BI, and ERP tools.
  • Vendor & cross-functional coordination. Communicate daily with domestic and international vendors on POs, samples, and timelines; partner with Design, Supply, Sales, and Marketing to keep launches on track.
  • Growing into the role. Participate in line reviews, trade shows (Atlanta Market, High Point), and category business reviews. Napa wants Assistant Product Managers who ask good questions and push category performance forward.
Qualifications
  • 1-3 years in Buying, Merchandising, Retail or related analytical or commercial role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising, or related field, or equivalent career/internship experience.

Bonus points: ERP/PLM exposure, Power BI experience, or prior internship/early-career work supporting product or buyers/merchants.

Career Path: Assistant Product Manager → Product Manager → Senior Product Manager → Director of Product & Merchandising → VP, Product Merchandising & Management. This role is designed to build the foundation for that path.

Physical requirements
  • Prolonged use of computer involved; use of hands and finger coordination; specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision. Color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus as needed.
