Job summary

Olix Computing in Austin, TX is seeking a Senior/Staff Analog Design Engineer to help develop high-speed SerDes and mixed-signal subsystems for a next-gen SoC. Role spans from circuit implementation to post-silicon validation, collaborating with teams locally and in London/Bristol.

The candidate should have 10+ years in analog/mixed-signal IC design, with hands-on SerDes experience at 25 Gbps+. Strong signaling fundamentals and FinFET knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering with 10+ years of analog/mixed-signal IC design experience.
• Strong analog mixed-signal design background with hands-on SerDes experience at data rates of 25 Gbps or higher.
• Solid understanding of high-speed signaling concepts: jitter, noise, equalization, SI, and link budgeting.
• Expertise in advanced FinFET nodes with device physics, parasitics, and layout sensitivity.
• Proficiency with Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre, and flows including PVT, Monte Carlo, EM-IR, reliability analysis.
• Experience developing behavioral and Verilog-A models for mixed-signal verification.
• Familiarity with post-silicon bring-up, lab measurement equipment, and correlating data to simulations.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across analog, digital, optical, and system teams.

Responsibilities

• Architect and design high-speed SerDes blocks from spec to silicon in advanced nodes.
• Perform schematic and post-layout simulations to ensure robust margins and reviews.
• Run EM simulations for passives, interconnects, and on-die routing.
• Develop behavioral/Verilog-A models for system-level verification.
• Supervise mask designers and provide floorplan/layout guidelines.
• Collaborate with optical, digital, and system teams on interfaces and link performance.
• Support post-silicon bring-up, lab validation, and debugging.
