Job summary

Blue Origin in California is seeking an experienced analog/mixed-signal IC design engineer to lead development of high-performance data converters and related blocks in advanced CMOS/SiGe processes. You will optimize performance, verify layouts, and collaborate with system architects to ensure seamless integration into RF payloads.

The role requires 7+ years of industry experience, AMS tool proficiency, and the ability to mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 7+ years of industry experience in analog/mixed-signal IC design.
• Expertise in the design of data converters (ADCs and DACs).
• Proficiency in mixed-mode and analog/RF modeling, simulation, and verification (MATLAB, Spectre, SystemVerilog, AMS).
• Deep understanding of electromigration and layout-dependent effects in advanced FinFETs.
• Extensive silicon characterization and debugging experience.
• Experience with analog/RF building blocks: amplifiers, filters, oscillators, LDOs.
• U.S. citizenship or eligible work status.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development and integration of advanced analog/mixed-signal functions in CMOS and SiGe technologies.
• Utilize full proficiency in Spectre and AMS flows to develop high‑performance mixed‑signal circuits and systems.
• Collaborate with system architects to define block-level performance and interface requirements for RF payloads.
• Oversee layout, top-level integration, floorplanning, and verification for successful tape-out.
• Work with validation and product engineers to develop test plans and optimize performance.
• Mentor junior engineers on best analog design practices.
