Job summary

Mercury is hiring an AML Investigator II to join our investigations team. You will help manage transaction monitoring queues, review alerts for potential financial crime, and perform thorough case investigations across a variety of banking products.

You will interact with users and internal partners to gather information, document findings, and escalate suspicious activity for SAR consideration while contributing to automation and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Review AML and other financial crime alerts in the transaction monitoring queue and take action as needed
• Contact users for information on account usage and transactions
• Investigate and respond to RFIs from Partner Banks, delivering clear AML reviews
• Decide user accounts status such as locking or closing accounts as needed
• Document investigative findings and escalate unusual activity to partners for SAR consideration
• Develop understanding of expected activity for different user types
• Write clear documentation on processes and train teammates
