Job summary

GE Appliances, a Haier company, seeks a Principal Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to lead capital equipment and high-volume process projects for NPI, cost-out and plant productivity. You will partner with factory operations to ensure DFMA, lean execution and knowledge transfer.

The role requires 7+ years in manufacturing equipment, BS in engineering, and proficiency in AutoCAD; travel up to 10%. You will mentor junior staff and help shape the AME organization in Decatur, AL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or related discipline OR equivalent hands-on experience.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) programs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate capital equipment procurement projects from specification to installation and qualification.
• Drive Lean principles, 3P and DFMA to optimize manufacturing processes.
• Own program metrics including budgets, schedules, reliability, quality and labor targets.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to building AME capability.
