Job summary

Providence College in Providence, RI, invites applications for a senior advancement position focused on alumni engagement and volunteering. The role designs and executes reunion programming to connect alumni with campus life and foster philanthropic giving.

You will lead Homecoming and other signature events, manage budgets, coordinate with Marketing and Advancement Services, and develop a pipeline of volunteer leaders while working evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Five to seven years’ experience in a progressively responsible development fundraising environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, written communication, and organizational skills.
• Proactive, creative problem-solver with ability to interact with a broad range of constituents.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Evenings and weekends required.
• Possible travel.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee the execution of all reunion programming with the goal to engage alumni through their milestone celebration with the college.
• Serve as Advancement lead for Homecoming, one of the college’s signature programs with the priority focus of bringing alumni back to campus.
• Provide essential leadership and guidance to direct report(s) to maximize productivity and performance.
• Further the development of a pipeline of alumni volunteers including expansion of class ambassador program and engagement efforts.
• Coordinate with College Events, Marketing and Communications, and Advancement Services to support programs across the year.
