Job summary

State Street is seeking an Implementation Business Analyst to join the Alpha Data Implementation team. You will work with clients and cross-functional teams to articulate requirements, map reference data, and drive data integration across front, middle and back office services.

The role emphasizes agile delivery, data modeling, and SQL-driven quality checks. You will mentor clients, prepare documentation, and contribute to roadmap and ongoing data onboarding efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience with investment accounting, portfolio management, investment operations, or financial data across asset classes (Fixed Income, Equities, Derivatives, etc.).
• Experience supporting software implementation projects, data onboarding, platform migrations, or enterprise data services.
• Strong understanding of investment management operating models and data lifecycle.
• Proven experience conducting client workshops to elicit and document requirements.
• Strong SQL skills and data modeling knowledge.
• Experience with ETL/ELT and data ingestion frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the integration of new data services by participating in requirements gathering, testing and support.
• Collaborate with Client Implementation Team to establish project delivery plans and estimates.
• Guide clients on reference data setups and mappings during initial implementations.
• Define and maintain standards around data ingestion, enrichment and validation.
• Analyze functional capabilities of the data platform and document product specifications.
• Prepare business cases to drive development in scaled agile rooms.
• Capture enhancements to scope of services into roadmap for existing clients.
• Create and maintain client-facing documentation.
• Provide SME activities: consultancy, implementation configuration and demonstrations.
