Job summary

MassMutual is seeking an actuary to lead analytics for the Reinsurance Development team within Corporate Actuarial. You will model, analyze, and report on reinsurance performance, partnering with pricing, valuation, and product teams to optimize cash flows and risk management.

The role drives inforce and new business strategies, oversees RFPs, and collaborates with external reinsurers while presenting insights to leadership. Boston or Springfield, MA location with full-time commitments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required and ASA designation.
• At least 5 years of life, health or annuity insurance experience.
• FSA or equivalent is a plus but not required; strong reinsurance knowledge is valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead modeling outputs for regular reporting and ad-hoc analysis.
• Develop analytics to assess inforce reinsurance performance and cash flows.
• Collaborate with pricing, valuation, and product teams on assumptions.
• Manage relationships with external reinsurers and coordinate RFPs.
