RAVE Aerospace in California seeks a Senior Certification Engineer to lead regulatory compliance for airborne equipment and systems. You will ensure all product and system-level certification meets airworthiness requirements, presenting complete substantiation data to regulators and customers.

You will coordinate with design, testing labs, and suppliers to plan qualification activities, perform audits, and advise on airworthiness across FAA/EASA rules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.
• 6-10 years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience with designing, manufacturing and certifying aircraft components and systems.
• Experience interfacing with FAA or EASA in certification environments.
• Experience in AS9100 quality environments.
• Knowledge of FAA 14 CFRs and EASA requirements for airborne IFE equipment.

Responsabilités

• Identify and document test levels for environmental, electrical, and flammability testing of new LRU designs.
• Develop, review and release Certification documents to meet airworthiness requirements.
• Coordinate with FAA and customers for regulatory approval of certification data packages.
• Plan and schedule formal qualification testing with labs and facilities.
• Prepare FRACA reports detailing test failures and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with engineers, suppliers and labs for test equipment and setup.
• Present status updates to project management and certification teams.
• Advise management on airworthiness issues in design and manufacturing.
