Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. is seeking a Lead Airworthiness & Safety Engineer to oversee airworthiness and product safety activities for complex UAS throughout the lifecycle.

You will develop certification strategies, plans, and compliance approaches to support military and civil authorities, coordinating with cross-functional teams. You will engage with customers, regulators, and senior leadership on certification, audits, RFIs, and RFPs, driving continued airworthiness and safety improvements across

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering or equivalent education/experience.
• 8+ years of directly related airworthiness experience.
• At least 4 years in airworthiness work.
• Strong systems engineering background.
• Experience with Domestic and International customers.
• Knowledge of Military, FAA, EU, NATO, EASA processes and standards.
• Understanding of US Government safety requirements (UL, CE, REACH, RoHS).
• Proven track record communicating with executive management and regulatory authorities.
