Job summary

Elite Line Services (ELS) seeks a Sr. Technician in Windsor Locks, CT, to perform maintenance on baggage handling systems and passenger boarding bridges. The role mentors junior staff, troubleshoots complex electrical/electronic systems, and ensures safety and reliability of critical airport equipment.

You will read manuals and schematics, work in tight spaces, and follow all ELS safety programs and procedures. Prior airport environment experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of baggage handling systems or passenger boarding bridges.
• Ability to read and interpret repair manuals, schematics, and engineering drawings.
• Minimum 3–4 years in electrical/electronic systems and 4+ years in mechanical/electrical roles.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive, routine and emergency maintenance; clears system jams and conducts inspections.
• Diagnoses equipment failures; ensures safe operation of systems.
• Directs and mentors maintenance staff; may act as lead in absence of senior personnel.
• Reads repair manuals and schematics; follows supervisor instructions.
• Works in tight/low spaces with PPE and fall protection; adheres to safety policies.
• Keeps forms and records for work orders; completes all required training.
