The Lead Field Technician role is to coordinate weekly maintenance and oversee field subcontractors within a NY/NJ team. The position requires strong troubleshooting, field leadership, and excellent written/verbal communication. Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of professional experience, including 4 years on operational airport security systems.
• Experience leading field activities for technicians.
• Experience managing subcontractors on projects of varying size.
• Experience with testing equipment (multimeter, battery tester, etc.).
• Must be able to obtain a SIDA badge via Federal background check and enroll in FBI’s Rap Back program.
• Experience with Windows/Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Execute weekly maintenance and project schedules as directed by Site/Ops/Project Lead.
• Support field systems maintenance, installations, and ad-hoc requests; inspect and guide other technicians.
• Learn equipment and troubleshoot via manuals and on-the-job training with leads and engineers.
• Generate daily field activity reports by V2X technicians.
• Oversee subcontractors for PIDS installations within larger projects.
• Coordinate with site lead, ops lead, technicians, supply chain, and engineering to execute schedules.
• Create checklists and assist with scheduling; propose process improvements.
• Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for hotline support.
