Job summary

V2X Inc. is seeking an Operations Lead to support the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey’s PIDS at the metro NY airports. The role involves coordinating weekly maintenance, managing field technicians, and overseeing subcontractors in a 24/7 operational environment.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in related roles, 3+ years leading teams, and a background with Windows/Microsoft Office. A SIDA badge via PANYNJ background check is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of professional experience, including 3 years supporting operational systems (airport environment preferred).
• Experience leading a team of 3+ personnel.
• Experience managing subcontractors on small or large projects.
• Experience with Windows/Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Candidate must be able to obtain a SIDA badge issued by the PANYNJ via Federal background check and FBI Rap Back program.

Responsibilities

• Management of Field Technician assignments and tasks as per weekly maintenance and project schedules based on priorities.
• Plan, execute and document preventive and corrective maintenance and new sensor installations.
• Learn equipment uses and field troubleshooting techniques via manuals and OJT with site lead/field engineers.
• Generate daily reports of field activities by V2X technicians.
• Provide oversight of subcontractors for ongoing PIDS installations as part of larger PANYJ projects.
• Schedule and facilitate specialized training for technicians through OJT, engineering team-up.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
• Assess and recommend improvements to processes and procedures.
• Ensure quality of work performed by the field technician team.
