Job summary

KDG Construction Consulting seeks a Senior Airside Construction Manager to oversee a multimillion-dollar airside development program as an owner's representative. You will direct planning, budget, staffing, safety, and coordination with airport operators and regulators.

The role requires 15+ years in aviation/public facilities, 10+ years on landside airport projects, experience with airfield paving, and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of aviation/public facility construction experience.
• At least 10 years in landside airport construction/renovation.
• Experience overseeing airfield paving (runway/taxiway/apron) projects.
• Construction inspection experience on aviation or heavy civil projects.
• Experience with projects of at least $50 million in total costs.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and knowledge of industry practices.
• Willingness to work night shifts for active airport operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction and management on behalf of the owner.
• Plan construction activities, identify milestones and priorities.
• Determine budget estimates and staffing requirements.
• Monitor contractor activities and progress; recommend corrective actions.
• Manage manpower, materials, and equipment to meet budgets and schedules.
• Provide updates to Owner and clients on milestones.
• Ensure sound construction practices for quality and cost efficiency.
• Oversee inspections for contract compliance and quality standards.
• Prepare periodic progress reports for management and clients.
• Ensure safety policies and procedures are followed.
• Serve as primary contact with client, subcontractors, and government reps.
• Perform other related responsibilities.
