Job summary

SOGECLAIR, a multinational engineering firm, seeks an experienced Electrical/Aerospace engineer to design power generation and distribution systems for defense programs in the U.S. You will translate customer needs into robust specifications and work closely with suppliers and internal teams.

Candidates should have a Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering, 5+ years of relevant experience, and familiarity with DO-178/DO-254 and FAA/EASA certifications.

Qualifications

• You will have a Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
• You will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in electrical system design or a related field.
• You will have knowledge of FAA, TCCA and EASA Part 25 certification requirements.
• You will be familiar with RTCA DO-160, DO-178 and DO-254 standards.
• You will be proficient with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical power generation and distribution solutions for Defense customers.
• Identify deliverables, risks, and challenges in bid and proposal phases.
• Create system schematics, descriptions, interface control documents, and wiring diagrams.
• Analyze ground and flight test data to verify system performance.
• Research specifications for component selections.
• Support change management through design reviews and trade studies.
• Work with suppliers and internal teams to resolve build or test issues.
• Ensure compliance with FAA Part 25, TCCA, and EASA certification requirements.
