Job summary

SOGECLAIR is seeking an experienced Electrical/Aerospace Engineer to lead integration of mission systems on aircraft for defense customers. You will identify risks in bids, create system schematics, and develop qualification plans and test reports, collaborating with suppliers and internal teams to ensure regulatory compliance.

The role requires a BS in electrical or aerospace engineering, 5+ years of experience, and working knowledge of FAA, TCCA and EASA Part 25.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 5+ years' experience in electrical system design or related field.
• Knowledge of FAA, TCCA and EASA Part 25 certification requirements.
• Knowledge of system safety processes.
• Familiar with RTCA DO-160, DO-178 and DO-254 standards.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
• AutoCAD experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
• Self-motivated with multi-task coordination and time management.
• Authorized to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Lead integration of mission systems on aircraft for Defense customers.
• Identify deliverables, risks, and challenges in bid/proposal phase.
• Create system schematics, documents, wiring diagrams, test plans, and reports.
• Review drawings, data, and reports for qualification and compliance.
• Decompose statements of work into detailed requirements.
• Analyze ground and flight test data for performance verification.
• Research component specifications and selections.
• Support change management and design reviews.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve issues.
• Show compliance with 14 CFR Part 25 FAA, TCCA, and EASA requirements.
