Job summary

SOGECLAIR is seeking a senior aerospace engineering leader to drive the technical execution of defense programs in collaboration with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. You will ensure architectural integrity, manage technical requirements, and guide certification and airworthiness activities.

The role requires a strong track record in systems integration, risk management, and leadership in a regulated aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field.
• 10+ years in aircraft design, systems integration, flight test, certification, or defense programs.
• Strong ability to lead cross-functional technical teams and manage interfaces across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical execution of defense programs as principal integrator across work packages, disciplines, suppliers, and IPDT.
• Maintain technical integrity of proposals, architecture, design solutions, and key decisions through program lifecycle.
• Establish and manage project-level technical requirements and TRDs.
• Translate customer and program needs into feasible technical requirements and validate solutions.
• Provide oversight for gates and maturity activities (SRR, PDR, CDR, test readiness).
• Identify and manage technical risks, dependencies, bottlenecks, and integration issues.
• Develop mitigation and recovery plans for technical issues and supplier performance.
• Coordinate supplier activities and support supplier evaluation and management.
• Coordinate cross-work-package design integration for overall product alignment.
• Support certification, airworthiness, and regulator interactions.
• Support continued airworthiness and in-service design evolution.
• Chair technical review forums and act as lead technical decision maker.
• Serve as primary technical contact for design, development, and integration.
