Job summary

M1 Support Services, LP in Columbus, MS seeks an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead EHS activities in the Quality and Safety Branch of the Columbus Aircraft Maintenance Program IAW the PWS.

Oversee safety surveillance, enforce compliance, and educate staff. Develop comprehensive EHS programs, including OSHA-driven plans, radiation safety, confined-space training, ESD, and mishap prevention. Reports to Program Quality Manager and EHS Director, with coordination across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Associates Degree in related field highly desired; High School Diploma minimum.
• Minimum 10 years' aircraft maintenance experience with at least 3 years environmental and safety management experience.
• Must have working knowledge of computers and basic software such as Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee program-wide safety surveillance, reporting, enforcement and education activities.
• Ensure all activities comply with PWS, Air Force Instructions, Technical Orders and company policies.
• Develop/implement Environmental Safety and Occupational Health Program, base-specific Safety and Health Plan, OSHA-aligned program, Radiation Safety, confined space training, Electro Static Discharge, and Flight/Explosive/Ground Mishap Prevention.
