M1 Support Services, a defense contractor, seeks an Electrical/Environmental Specialist T-38 Unscheduled for Columbus, MS. The role maintains electrical and environmental systems on aircraft per data requirements and may involve on- and off-equipment work, troubleshooting, and records entry.

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of aircraft electrical/environmental systems and schematics.
  • Knowledge of technical publications, maintenance directives and forms.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Specialized courses in aircraft electric/environmental systems.
  • Able to read/write/speak English.
  • Minimum of two years’ recent experience as an aircraft electrical/environmental specialist.
  • SGF assignment requires recent experience for the assigned aircraft.
  • Must obtain and maintain a flight line driver’s license; CDL may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains electrical/environmental systems IAW technical data requirements.
  • Performs tasks under minimum supervision.
  • Coordinates maintenance activities with senior personnel.
  • Performs on- and off-equipment maintenance.
  • Troubleshoots electrical/environmental systems to isolate malfunctions.
  • Repairs, replaces assemblies, and makes adjustments during troubleshooting.
  • Inspects and maintains electrical/environmental equipment.
  • Performs repairs of electrical/electronic and environmental systems.
  • Records maintenance actions in aircraft records and CAMS documentation.
  • Promotes safety, tool control, and FOD prevention at all times.
  • May perform special certifications including Red X inspections and TDY travel.
  • May maintain TO files, bench stock, shop stock, CTKs, or hazardous waste areas.
  • May be qualified on different MDS aircraft as required.
  • Shall assist other personnel and work centers as directed.
  • Promotes company values and standards of conduct.
  • Must be customer oriented and coordinate with Operations and base agencies.
  • If assigned to SGF, may need APG activity qualification.
  • May perform other duties including TDY and travel.
  • Must be able to work day/night/weekend shifts.

Job Summary

M1 is looking for an Electrical/Environmental Specialist T-38

Primary Responsibilities
  • Maintains electrical/environmental systems IAW technical data requirements.
  • Performs tasks under minimum supervision.
  • Coordinates maintenance activities with senior electric/environmental personnel as required.
  • Performs both on and off-equipment maintenance.
  • Troubleshoots electric/environmental systems to isolate malfunctions.
  • Makes necessary repairs, replaces assemblies, and makes adjustments as indicated during the troubleshooting phase.
  • Performs inspections and maintenance on electrical/environmental equipment.
  • Performs repairs of electrical/electronic and environmental systems.
  • Annotates maintenance actions in aircraft records and is knowledgeable in CAMS documentation.
  • Practices good housekeeping, tool control, FOD awareness/prevention, and safety at all times.
  • May be selected to perform special certifications including Red X inspections, if no qualified volunteers, then most qualified person may be selected.
  • May be assigned to maintain TO files, bench stock, shop stock, CTKs, or hazardous waste areas.
  • May be required to be qualified on different MDS aircraft.
  • Shall assist other personnel and work centers as directed.
  • Must promote Company values, policies, and standards of conduct.
  • Must be customer oriented and ensure professional coordination with Operations and other base agencies.
  • When assigned to a Sortie Generation Flight (SGF), required to be qualified in APG activities.
  • Shall perform other duties assigned to include TDY and travel.
  • Must be able to work day shift, night shift, or weekend duty as required.
  • Receives cross-utilization training and is qualified to perform those maintenance tasks.
Qualifications And Experience
  • A working knowledge of aircraft electrical/environmental systems and of the use of schematic diagrams, drawings, and charts is required.
  • Must possess a working knowledge of technical publications, maintenance directives, and maintenance forms.
  • High school diploma or the equivalent is required.
  • Specialized courses in aircraft electric/environmental systems are required.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • A minimum of two years' recent experience as an aircraft electrical/environmental specialist is required.
  • When assigned to SGF, recent experience for assigned aircraft is required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a flight line driver's license and may be required to obtain and maintain a class CDL.
