Job summary

Moog in Mineral Wells, TX is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and integrate advanced avionics and flight control software. You will lead software development activities and contribute to certification efforts.

The role requires a bachelor's in engineering, 5+ years of experience, and strong knowledge of DO-178B/C processes, Altium, SolidWorks, and Matlab. On-site at Moog Avionics with a hybrid work schedule offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• Experience with DO-178B/C software development lifecycle is required.
• Knowledge of design tools and industry practices is required.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to software for avionics and flight control systems.
• Develop software and system requirements.
• Perform software/system integration and testing activities.
• Create technical documentation and provide guidance to junior engineers.
• Support certification projects (TSO and STC).
• Provide coaching and training to lower-level engineers.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or other significant related engineering degrees
