Job summary

GLSS is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic II - Avionics/Electrician to join our Mountain Home AFB team in Idaho. You will repair engines, sheet metal, hydraulics, electrical and structural components, and lead on complex tasks.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent; F-15 avionics/electrical program is desirable; fiber optic experience and a DoD clearance are important. Minimum three years in fighter jet maintenance is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Military avionics/electrical program experience is highly desirable.
• Formal fiber optic installation, cleaning, inspection and testing experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair and modify aircraft structures and components of moderate difficulty.
• Inspect flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, and fuel systems.
• Apply knowledge of airframe and powerplant systems to diagnose malfunctions.
• Lead teams on more complex aircraft tasks and ensure schedules are met.
• Document work in aircraft logs and records as required.
