Job summary

Braun Intertec seeks a senior air quality permitting and compliance professional to lead and support projects within the Environmental Permitting and Compliance practice group in Texas. You will mentor junior staff, strengthen client relationships, and deliver high-quality results for industrial, energy, and commercial clients.

Your role includes managing project scope, schedule, budget, proposals, and ensuring compliance with state and federal air quality rules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, environmental science, or a related field.
• 7+ years Texas-specific air quality permitting and compliance experience; 10–12 years total air permitting experience preferred.
• Knowledge of state and federal air quality rules and regulations for industrial, energy, and commercial clients.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 15%.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong client relationships through project work and in-person engagement.
• Lead project teams, managing execution, client communication, and overall project deliverables.
• Prepare and review proposals for projects of varying complexity.
• Manage project scope, schedule, and budget.
• Mentor and support junior staff.
• Comply with client health and safety policies and procedures.
• Perform, direct, and review air permitting and compliance work including PBR, NSR, and Title V; interpret regulations; conduct emissions calculations; air quality modeling; develop client air quality programs; prepare technical reports.
