Job summary

Kearney & Company is seeking an Air Force Financial Management Senior Specialist to join our team in Dayton, OH and other US locations to support DEAMS deployment and training in data visualization. You will lead dashboard deployment, sustainment, and analytics, mentor staff, and collaborate with senior leadership to drive improvements.

The role requires 5+ years in AF FM, strong Power BI skills, and ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of Air Force Financial Management experience.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Power BI and other data visualization tools.
Familiarity with AF Financial Management and financial data elements.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, and team management skills.
Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills.
Understanding of SFIS and USSGL.
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance (US Citizenship required).
Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

Lead deployment and installation of dashboards at Air Force installations with complex modifications.
Oversee daily sustainment and updates of dashboards (~30 sources, ~80 FMFO products).
Provide expert user support for dashboard and Power BI tools.
Design and implement advanced data models and visualizations, including AI/ML where appropriate.
Conduct advanced training and lead change management initiatives.
Mentor junior and journeyman financial staff and ensure deliverable quality.
Analyze feedback, performance, and data trends to identify improvements.
Ensure internal controls, security, and audit readiness compliance.
Prepare presentations, reports, and user guides for leadership audiences.
Liaise with MAJCOM/COCOM and command stakeholders to gather requirements.
