RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Senior Engineer – Air Breathing Propulsion to join the Energetics and Propulsion Department onsite. The role focuses on propulsion system integration for missile and space vehicle applications, requiring leadership across development and production programs and close collaboration with subcontractors.

Qualified candidates typically hold a STEM Bachelor with 5+ years’ experience in propulsion; DoD clearance eligibility and U.S. citizenship are mandatory.

Formación

• Bachelor in STEM with minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• At least 3 years in propulsion tech for solid propulsion.
• Experience developing solid propulsion from concept to final test/assembly.
• Ability to obtain DoD clearance; U.S. citizenship required; clearance transferable.

Responsabilidades

• Apply advanced technologies to propulsion system integration for missiles and space vehicles.
• Collaborate with development and production programs across Raytheon product lines.
• Review manufacturing processes and work with subcontractors on propulsion systems.
• Develop and deliver technical presentations to management and government agencies.
• Travel to government sites as needed.
• Interface with customers to identify needs.
• Manage propulsion development projects and subcontracts; oversee supplier ops.
