Samsara Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the In-Vehicle Experience team. You will lead the technical direction for AI-driven voice agent experiences, shaping what we build and how we ship it.

This role blends software engineering, AI, and product sense to create coordinated, scalable solutions for drivers. You’ll design agent behavior, build supporting services, and iterate based on real-world driver interactions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience shipping end-to-end products.
• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Recent experience shipping LLM/agent-based products in production.
• Experience with memory, context, or retrieval systems for AI.
• Strong Go, TypeScript, and Python fundamentals.
• Experience designing APIs and service boundaries.
• Ability to mentor engineers and shape technical direction.
• Authorized to work in the United States or Canada and remote-ready.

Responsabilités

• Define what to build and guide the engineering direction for voice agent experiences.
• Build and ship AI-assisted voice experiences from zero to one.
• Own architecture for how agents share context, arbitrate concurrent interactions, and support real-time decisions.
• Review designs, unblock decisions, and mentor engineers as they expand into new domains.
• Introduce patterns for full-stack and AI-assisted engineering and drive adoption.
• Champion Samsara's culture and focus on customer success as we scale.
