Job summary

Replicant is building AI-powered customer service at scale. We seek a Senior Software Engineer, Agents on our Delivery team to sit with client teams, understand workflows, and design agent behavior from blank prompts to production.

You own the agent end-to-end, from conception to live operation, with emphasis on real customer outcomes. You will integrate agents with CRM/tools, craft robust prompts, and test against real transcripts.

Qualifications

• Customer-facing collaboration and clear communication with stakeholders.
• Ability to map customer workflows to concrete agent scope.
• Experience shaping prompts, instructions, and conversation flows.
• Comfort integrating with external systems and APIs.

Responsibilities

• Own AI agents for assigned customers across the full lifecycle: discovery, design, build, evaluation, launch, and live operation.
• Sit with customers, map workflows, and translate business goals into concrete agent scope.
• Design and write the agent's prompts, instructions, and conversation flows.
• Wire the agent into customer systems via APIs and tools, ensuring reliable tool calls and proper auth.
• Build test sets covering happy paths, edge cases, and hallucination risks; measure quality and guardrails.
• Monitor live conversations and tool-call health; debug from logs and transcripts; ship fixes.
• Feedback to Product so future agents improve efficiently.
