Job summary

Google DeepMind in Mountain View, CA is seeking a flexible designer to help shape the next generation of AI experiences. You will apply deep knowledge of model capabilities to guide prompt engineering and prototyping, delivering context-aware outputs and personalized interactions.

You will assess model performance and collaborate with product designers to create leading-edge multimodal solutions, ensuring UX components align with system instructions for context, user preferences, and memory.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in cognitive science or related field.
6 years in conversation design / content design.
Experience designing for conversational AI / LLMs.

Responsibilities

Apply deep understanding of model capabilities to guide prompt engineering and prototyping strategies.
Initiate qualitative assessments of model performance to improve personalization experiences.
Partner with AI product designers to craft multimodal solutions with cohesive UX.
Develop system instructions for intuitive UX patterns and memory controls.
Stay current on design trends in AI and NLP to drive innovation.
