Job summary

Ode with Anthropic in San Francisco and New York City seeks an Associate Principal to lead AI strategy engagements, partnering with Principals to assess value-creation opportunities and transformation risk across industries. You’ll work shoulder-to-shoulder with Principals on live engagements, proposals, and relationship building, taking on more of the selling motion as you go.

You’ll drive end-to-end engagements, learn to scope, price, and position our work, and become the fractional Chief AI

Qualifications

• High ownership and comfort with ambiguity – drive the work forward without waiting to be told what to do.
• Learning agility and analytical horsepower – ramp quickly on an unfamiliar industry, identify what matters, and form a defensible point of view.
• Crisp communication, written and verbal – translate technical AI concepts into business language that lands with executives and deal teams.
• Relationship-building instinct – build rapport with people and be energized by client-facing work.
• AI-native – genuine interest in AI and a working understanding of generative AI, credible in a room with engineers.
• Low ego and high resourcefulness – both a doer and a strategist.

Responsibilities

• Drive AI strategic advisory engagements end-to-end and run point on engagements that set a transformation agenda or conduct diligence on an asset.
• Support live deals and the selling motion: join discovery calls, shape proposals, help manage relationships, and learn pricing and positioning our work.
• Build your network through engagements and deal support, creating durable relationships with executives and investors.
• Be a high-utility player: in an early-stage company, contribute beyond a single engagement across partnership development, thought leadership, or internal tooling.
