Job summary

QuEra Computing, Inc. is standing up a new AI Engineering team to translate high-value ideas into deployable AI tools. You will own projects end to end, setting patterns for the team and raising the bar for AI software, with a background in quantum computing not required.

You will build tools that enable faster, cheaper, and more accessible AI workflows across QuEra, partnering with hardware, controls, and other groups to deliver impact at scale.

Qualifications

• Strong production software experience, primarily Python.
• Hands-on experience building LLM-powered apps.
• Experience with agentic systems and safe integrations.
• End-to-end ownership of projects with minimal oversight.
• Excellent testing, code review, CI/CD and documentation habits.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship internal AI tools end to end.
• Set technical direction and reusable patterns.
• Design and deploy LLM and agentic systems with guardrails.
• Collaborate with engineering, hardware, and ops teams to turn ideas into tools.
• Create shared components and infrastructure to speed up development.
• Mentor teammates and ensure clear docs, tests, and estimates.
• Drive work to completion independently.
