Job summary

Accenture is seeking a Senior Advanced AI Research Engineer to bridge AI systems research and production platform engineering in Mountain View, CA. You will turn research findings into production-ready Python services and platform components, working across memory architectures, routing, and agent control.

You will publish and present results, mentor juniors, and collaborate with enterprise architects to align research with client deployment blockers. Travel up to 0–100% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field (minimum).
• Minimum 5 years of experience with Python and/or Node.js/TypeScript, building production backend services.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with AI/ML systems (LLMs, agent frameworks, retrieval/memory architectures).
• 6+ years of engineering experience across research and production contexts preferred.
• 3+ years of applied research translating findings into platform-integrated artefacts or published papers.
• Hands-on experience with async Python, containerisation and Kubernetes, and distributed tracing instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Investigate agentic AI frontiers including memory, routing, control planes, and long-horizon tasks.
• Translate research into production-grade Python services, Node.js/TypeScript SDK modules, and platform components.
• Build pluggable backends for memory stores, retrieval layers, and routing modules.
• Prototype platform capabilities and ensure observability from the start.
• Work with platform engineers to integrate research into production systems with proper testing.
