EY is seeking an AI Systems Engineer to own the stateful backbone of EY’s AI-native platform, handling relational, vector, and object storage with durable workflows across cloud, on‑prem, edge, and air‑gapped environments.

You will manage streaming, CDC, and schema governance while ensuring multi‑tenant isolation and scalable performance in regulated client contexts. Strong data infrastructure experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 8+ years operating production data infrastructure and streaming systems at scale.
• Hands-on with PostgreSQL and Redis including HA, replication, and backup/recovery.
• Exposure to AI/ML data patterns—embeddings, retrieval, feature/state stores for agentic workloads.
• Production experience with vector/graph databases (Qdrant, Milvus, PGVector, Neo4j).
• Deep experience with event streaming and messaging (Apache Kafka/Strimzi, NATS) and change data capture (Debezium).
• Experience with stream processing (Apache Flink) and event/schema governance (CloudEvents, schema registry).
• Stateful systems on Kubernetes (operators, persistent volumes, MinIO/OpenEBS).
• Ability to define ownership boundaries and data/schema contracts across teams.

Responsabilités

• Own memory and data stores across environments and tenants.
• Own event streaming and async messaging pipelines (Kafka, NATS, Debezium, Flink).
• Ensure data durability, recoverability, and cross-environment data movement.
• Build streaming and CDC pipelines with schema governance to avoid breaking changes.
• Make state multi-tenant with proper isolation and performance.
• Provide data and lineage substrate for governance and AI capabilities.
