Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Senior SDE to design and build AI agent systems using LLM and SLM technologies. You will architect scalable solutions on Bedrock, develop MCP servers, and create automation that enhances customer interactions.

You will work with cross-functional teams to enable inclusive experiences, mentor engineers, and shape the tools that help builders deliver more capable AI-powered experiences at scale.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience mentoring, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
• Experience managing and deploying ML products.
• Experience with Machine Learning fundamentals and LLMs, including training/inference lifecycles.
• Experience with LMS to track training results and learning effectiveness.
• Advanced prompt engineering expertise (few-shot, chain-of-thought, ReAct).
• Hands-on experience with MCP Tools and integrating agent frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of Bedrock agents, guardrails, knowledge bases, and evaluation capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and build AI agent systems leveraging LLM & SLM technologies.
• Architect scalable solutions using Amazon Bedrock’s agent core technologies.
• Develop MCP servers and intelligent automation to improve customer interactions.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams across Amazon.
