Job summary

CloudZero is hiring to build a data and AI platform that powers the company's products and stakeholders. You’ll own end-to-end data pipelines, governance, and cost visibility, enabling self-serve access for multiple teams while ensuring secure identity and access management.

The role is hybrid, based in Boston, with global reach and a focus on automating manual work into robust data products and AI-enabled workflows. You’ll work closely with engineering, product, and security teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years at the intersection of data engineering and infrastructure.
• Deep Snowflake experience as an analytical warehouse, RBAC, and cost model.
• Hands-on modeling with dbt or equivalent, plus orchestration (Dagster, Airflow, Prefect).
• Strong software engineering fundamentals: Python required, SQL assumed; Go or Bash a plus.
• IaC at scale (Pulumi, CDK, CloudFormation).
• Hands-on production AI and LLM with agents, RAG, tool-calling.
• Deep AWS (Bedrock, IAM, EventBridge, Lambda); knowledge of GCP and Azure.
• Experience automating employee lifecycle (Okta SSO, Workflows, Jamf, Google Workspace, Jira, HRIS).
• Root-cause mindset and bias for shipping; collaborative across teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the data platform from ingestion to modeling layer with conformed dimensions.
• Ensure data quality, lineage, and governance within Snowflake.
• Build self-serve data products for Marketing, Finance, Sales, and CS teams.
• Develop cost visibility per team and per workload; drive cost intelligence.
• Maintain agent-ready retrieval and embedding pipelines with reliable performance.
• Collaborate with IT to streamline identity and access models across cloud tools.
