Job summary

CloudZero is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own the backend data processing, storage, and query infrastructure powering our analytics platform in San Francisco. You'll design scalable data models, pipelines, and a custom query engine, collaborating with engineers and stakeholders to deliver data-driven features at scale and measurable impact for customers.

Qualifications

• Experience with large-scale data platforms and analytics systems.
• Strong software engineering practices and systems design.
• Ability to translate business needs into scalable data solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize scalable data models, queries, and storage solutions to improve performance and efficiency across the platform.
• Maintain and enhance a custom-built query engine, ensuring flexibility and optimal performance as customer needs evolve.
• Build for scale. Onboarding customers with larger datasets and increasingly complex analytical requirements is a core part of the job.
• Collaborate with engineers and business stakeholders to develop data-driven features that solve real customer problems.
• Continuously improve engineering processes and data infrastructure to enable rapid development and iteration.
