Job summary

Motivus is seeking an experienced Forward Deployed Strategist to own a major vertical end-to-end, from identifying high-value AI opportunities to deployment and client adoption.

This leader will scope strategic workflows, define deployment approaches, and collaborate with AI engineering, delivery, and sales teams to drive measurable business outcomes. A strong AI/tech strategy background and client leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in AI/ML, technology strategy, consulting, digital transformation, solution architecture, or enterprise technology.
• Proven experience leading AI/ML or Generative AI strategy, solutioning, and deployment in enterprise environments.
• Deep industry experience with a strong understanding of industry workflows and business challenges.
• Proven experience owning strategic client relationships and working directly with C-suite and senior executive stakeholders.
• Strong ability to translate complex business problems into AI use cases, solution architectures, and deployment strategies.
• Experience working closely with AI/ML engineering, data, product, and delivery teams.
• Strong commercial orientation with experience in revenue growth, account expansion, P&L, or technology services sales.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex engagements from discovery and solution definition through deployment and business value realization.
• Strong understanding of enterprise AI adoption, including data, models, AI platforms, deployment, governance, and scaling.
• Familiarity with multi-agent and agentic AI patterns (planning, execution, validation) sufficient to scope realistic use cases and set client expectations on governance and guardrails.

Responsibilities

• Own the industry vertical end-to-end, including strategy, client engagement, solution development, deployment, and growth.
• Identify and scope high-value business workflows where AI can deliver measurable operational and financial impact.
• Lead discovery with clients to understand business challenges, define use cases, and translate requirements into AI solution and deployment strategies.
• Design deployment approaches, operating models, and roadmaps in partnership with AI engineering and delivery teams.
• Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to senior client and executive stakeholders, building long-term relationships and driving AI adoption.
• Partner closely with AI Solution Sales to qualify opportunities, shape solutions, develop commercial strategies, and drive pipeline growth.
• Jointly own segment P&L with AI Solution Sales, including revenue growth, margin, resource utilization, and overall business performance.
• Work cross-functionally with AI engineers, solution architects, product, delivery, and sales teams to ensure successful execution of client engagements.
• Lead complex AI transformation initiatives from initial workflow scoping through deployment, adoption, and value realization.
• Identify repeatable AI use cases, solution patterns, and deployment methodologies that can scale across the clients in the specific industry.
• Frame every engagement around a clear path to demonstrable ROI within 3–6 months, reflecting the market's shift from pilot enthusiasm toward hard proof of business impact.
• Develop executive-level presentations, business cases, solution roadmaps, and transformation strategies for strategic accounts.
• Identify delivery, technical, commercial, and adoption risks and drive appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Drive expansion within existing accounts by identifying additional workflows, use cases, and AI transformation opportunities.
• Contribute to development of vertical-specific AI capabilities, offerings, partnerships, and go-to-market strategies.
• Build the core AI delivery capability that differentiates the organization within the industry.
