Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an Associate Director - AI Solutions Architect for a remote role across the USA. You will lead large-scale modernization and AI transformation initiatives, define roadmaps, and mentor teams to deliver scalable, AI-enabled solutions with AWS/GCP, Java, and microservices.

You will partner with executives to drive strategy, governance, and secure, enterprise-grade architectures, including Generative AI and Agentic AI deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 12+ years of experience in solution architecture, enterprise architecture, software engineering, or technology consulting.
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing Agentic AI solutions using LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or similar technologies.
• Proven experience building Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions with vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma, FAISS).
• Strong understanding of LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini).
• Experience integrating AI-assisted tools like Copilot into enterprise programs.
• Deep knowledge of Generative AI governance, security, scalability, and operations.
• Experience estimating, planning, and delivering AI initiatives at enterprise scale.
• Demonstrated success taking AI-enabled solutions from concept to production.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end solution architecture engagements from discovery through deployment and adoption.
• Drive modernization initiatives transforming legacy platforms to cloud-native architectures.
• Architect and implement enterprise solutions using AWS, GCP, Java, Spring Boot, microservices, APIs, and event-driven patterns.
• Design Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions with modern AI frameworks and vector databases.
• Define architecture roadmaps, POCs, prototypes, and POVs aligned with business goals.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders to identify opportunities and deliver measurable outcomes.
• Establish architecture standards, governance, security, and engineering excellence across programs.
• Mentor architects and engineering teams to foster innovation and continuous improvement.
