Job summary

Optum Insight is seeking an experienced Process Reengineering Sr Solution Engineer - Remote with deep expertise in Generative AI and cloud technologies. You will revision existing processes and build prototypes using AI tool sets and develop reference implementations using LLMs, RAG, Agentic AI, and frameworks like LangGraph and LangChain.

You will collaborate across cross-functional teams and mentor engineers to drive enterprise initiatives.

Qualifications

• 10+ years IT experience with at least 5 years in consulting with top-tier firms
• 10+ years AI/ML or Data Science experience
• 5+ years IT experience in infrastructure, design, architecture, or delivery
• 5+ years legacy/cloud modernization and process reengineering experience
• 5+ years Python and GitHub
• 5+ years deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow)
• 4+ years deploying AI/ML solutions in production environments
• 2+ years AI-enabled process modernization experience across LOBs
• Deep experience in hyperscale cloud (prefer Google Cloud)
• Knowledge of data eng, AI, process improvement, etc.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI-first vision for modernization and prototypes using AI tools
• Build architectures, prototypes, and reference implementations including GenAI tech
• Develop scalable, reliable production solutions
• Design client-ready materials and lead cloud strategy/architecture discussions
• Manage intake, coordination, and execution of engineering workloads
• Mentor and coach junior engineers to build team capability
• Influence cross-functional teams and drive enterprise alignment
• Collaborate with Operations, Product, Architecture, and Quality Management
• Communicate clearly to align technical and business goals
• Contribute to Pharmacy Modernization aligned with enterprise strategy
• Work Eastern Time Zone hours to support global collaboration
• Participate in on-call rotations as scheduled
