JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
The Solution Architect (AI) will design comprehensive technical solutions that leverage generative AI, machine learning, data engineering, and full-stack development practices to address complex business challenges. This role bridges the gap between business requirements and technical implementation, working closely with Product Owners, Product Managers, Business Analysts, Data Engineering, Data Science, Software Engineering, Automation Engineering, Platform Engineer, and Reliability Engineering as other architects and R&D functions to ensure solutions align with enterprise standards while meeting specific business needs. The Solution Architect will develop solution patterns, reference architectures, and best practices for AI-powered applications, with a strong focus on generative AI technologies, large language models (LLMs), data architecture, and enterprise ML operations.
This position is instrumental in transforming business requirements into scalable, maintainable, and cost-effective AI products. For Entergy's Artificial Intelligence strategy, we define AI as a combination of software, data, and other digital tools that automate work processes. The Solution Architect will design data architectures and pipelines that power analytical capabilities (descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive models), automation tools including robotic process automation, and generative AI applications with conversational interfaces. The role requires deep understanding of business processes, data ecosystems, and objectives to create reliable, sustainable, and innovative solutions that deliver measurable business value.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum education required of the position
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical field. Advanced degree in Machine Learning, AI, Data Science, or related field is a plus.

Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position
AWS Solution Architect certification, data engineering certifications, relevant AI/ML certifications, or architecture framework certifications (e.g., TOGAF) are preferred.

Expert understanding of solution architecture methodologies, from requirements gathering to solution implementation and evolution. Deep knowledge of data architecture, data engineering principles, and AI/ML system design and implementation practices.

Strong understanding of utility business operations and how data-driven AI/ML capabilities can drive business value across different functional areas. Ability to align technology solutions with business objectives and data strategies.
Leadership
Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives, influence stakeholders across organizational boundaries, and drive consensus on architectural and data decisions.
Problem Solving
Exceptional ability to solve complex technical and business problems, translate abstract requirements into concrete technical solutions, design optimized data flows, and navigate constraints to deliver optimal outcomes.

Drive innovation through the implementation of cutting-edge AI solutions and data architectures that transform business operations, enhance customer experiences, and create new capabilities.
Interpersonal Skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including executives, business leaders, product managers, data teams, and technical teams. Ability to build consensus around architectural decisions and navigate conflicting priorities.
