Job summary

Blue Origin in Seattle, WA seeks a Sr. Software Engineer–AI services to join the Enterprise Technology group. You will design scalable AI services powering metadata generation and orchestration across enterprise domains, with a focus on security, reliability, and performance.

You will own features end-to-end, collaborate with stakeholders, and help deploy AI workflows using Terraform, AWS, and modern ML tooling. Passion for spaceflight and quality is required.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science or related field.
• 8+ years of professional software development experience with RESTful APIs and AI/ML in cloud environments.
• Proficiency in Python or Java.
• Knowledge of CS fundamentals and software engineering best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, low-latency AI services for metadata generation and feature extraction.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into design solutions.
• Ensure AI/ML systems meet security standards and data privacy.
• Develop Agentic AI solutions across Finance, Supply Chain, and enterprise domains.
• Own features end-to-end from estimation to post-launch measurement.
• Build resilient systems with observability, tests, and CI/CD pipelines using Terraform.
• Participate in on-call rotations and drive RCAs and observability improvements.
